Newburyport, MA, September 2, 2008 – Mass Integrated Systems (MIS) was named to Inc. Magazine’s 2008 Inc. 5000 list, http://www.inc.com/inc5000/2008/company-profile.html?id=200841610.  The 2008 Inc. 5000 list measures revenue growth from 2004 through 2007 requiring at least $200,000 in revenue in 2004 and $2 million in 2007.  In addition, the Inc. 5000 offers the most comprehensive look at the entrepreneurial engine driving the U.S. economy as these companies have aggregate revenue of $185 billion.

“Our second annual Inc. 5000 continues one of the most ambitious projects in business journalism,” said Inc. 5000 Project Manager Jim Melloan.  “The Inc. 5000 gives an unrivalled portrait of young, underreported companies across all industries doing fascinating things with cutting-edge business models, as well as older companies that are still showing impressive growth.”

“As with last year’s recognition from Entrepreneur Magazine, we are extremely honored to be recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest growing businesses in the United States by our inclusion on the 2008 Inc. 5000 list”, said MIS’ CEO Eric Primack.  “When we started the business in late 2002 our goal was just to build a sustainable supply business focusing on Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) panels, Integrated Circuits (ICs) and other electronic components that delivered value for our customers.  While 2008 has been challenging as a result of the subprime mortgage crisis, we firmly believe as long as we keep focused on meeting customer needs and expanding our supplier base in Asia, Europe and the US, we will continue our growth and meet our business objectives.”

“I also can’t emphasize enough that our location is instrumental to our success.  Because MIS is located in one of the worlds leading technology hubs in the greater Boston, MA area, there are numerous display companies emerging in the area, http://www.boston.com/business/technology/articles/2008/07/27/rethinking_display_technology/.  And Royal Philips Electronics recently announced its relocating its North American headquarters, http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/080722/20080722005886.html?.v=1, to the Boston area.  For any industry to take root, critical mass is necessary and the display industry is generating the necessary critical mass here in the greater Boston area.”
